Royal Wedding Brunch

The Ritz hosted a fabulous wedding bruch for Hotel residents.  You are never a guest at the Ritz, but a resident for the length of your stay.  The dining room was decorated in true British fashion and the menu was fit for a future King.  A band was available for dancing during the 3 hour meal. 

Among the arrivals (they had actual invitation to the wedding) were Elton John and partner and David and Victoria Beckham.  Various Lords and Ladies of the Realm were also present. 

Mary was at her most stylish, with the latest in fashion hat wear from the posh Regent street shops. 

Concert in Hyde Park

After brunch, it was on to the rose gardens of Hyde Park.  The Lord Mayor of London provided a live concert in Hyde Park for many of the two million people who flooded London to catch a glimpse of the Royal couple. 

The most amazing aspect of this adventure with two million other adventurers was contagious joy that was present everywhere.  On the mall, three generations of families were camped out to assure a prime viewing spot for the Royal couple as they returned to Buckingham Palace for their lunch with Queen Elizabeth and 600 guests.  William and Catherine surprised the assembled crowd by making a special appearance on the Mall driving a two seater Aston Martin owned by Prince Charles, for a very special return appearance to thank the people for their out pouring of affection.

It was an amazing time to be in London and be caught up in the universal good time had by all.
